A diagnosis of a life-threatening medical condition doesn’t just affect a child, it reshapes life for the entire family.
Parents often find themselves forced to leave work, siblings are pulled from routines, and families must relocate, sometimes for months, to be near hospitals like Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford or UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital San Francisco.
The emotional weight is heavy.

How We Care
As soon as a family is referred to us by one of our hospital partners, our team of care coordinators connects with them to understand their needs—considering the whole family, including siblings and caregivers.
Then, with the help of our community of over 375 volunteers, we provide thoughtful services that bring stability and comfort during an incredibly fragile time.
Our Core Programs
Food Security: Ensures a family has access to warm, nutritious, and easily prepared meals with grocery deliveries, Easy Meal Care Bags, restaurant gift cards, and Uber Eats gift cards.
Transportation Assistance: Ensures a family can safely and reliably take their child to and from treatments, school, and activities, visit their child at the hospital if inpatient, and maintain their vehicle for travel. Includes gas cards, Uber or Lyft gift cards and bus passes.
Home Stability: Ensures a family’s household is clean and safe by providing cleaning products and other household supplies.
Patient & Family Essentials: Ensures the basic needs of all family members are met by providing clothing, strollers and cribs, activity bags, books, toys and games, and toiletry items as well as professional assistance including family or individual counseling.
